Attention everyone!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be taking on the Cancer Research Big Hike Challenge in Brecon on the 15th of next month!
This half marathon hike isn’t just about the stunning scenery; it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer. I’ll be trekking through the breathtaking landscapes of the Brecon Beacons National Park, all while raising funds and awareness for cancer research.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I lost my aunty Julie to bowel cancer, and I currently have two uncles who are fighting their own battles with this relentless disease.
By joining me or supporting my journey, you’re contributing to vital research that could change lives. Funds raised go towards groundbreaking research projects, clinical trials, and innovative treatments that could ultimately save lives.
Here’s how your donation can make an impact:
- £10 could help cover the cost of processing a tissue sample, allowing researchers to study the genetics of cancer cells.
- £25 could help purchase a special culture medium to grow cancer cells in the lab, enabling researchers to test potential treatments.
- £50 could help fund an hour of time on a powerful microscope, allowing researchers to analyze cellular structures and better understand cancer progression.
- £100 could help fund the sequencing of a portion of the human genome, providing valuable insights into the genetic factors underlying cancer development.
Join me in this incredible journey of hope, determination, and solidarity. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or new to the trails, your support means everything.
